Must-listen summer tracks

Hi everyone! It’s been a while I didn’t blogged about bands to check out recently, and now got a little bit of time ahead to speak about the greatest summer rock’n’roll music. In these days, mostly listen to bands hailing from Wales, really don’t know why, but i quite like the vibes… Here’s my must-listen tracks/albums for the summer.

The Adelines-Alleyways

First discovered Swansea’s The Adelines through their track Little Games and now they released a new song via Kissability Records, Alleyways with b-side Park The Car. Absolutely a melodic gem, great guitar riffs, and think a little bit Camera Obscura, Belle and Sebastian with the female absolute gorgeous vocals provided by Jennie Morris.

Short & Curlies-At The Dance

This is a new Welsh supergroup formed by Euros and Megan Childs (ex-Gorkys) and some other great as Sweet Baboo, Laura J Martin and H Hawkline.

Instrumental with loads of violins and experimental sounds, i completely fell in love. Psych melodies, weird mixtures, we urge you to discover some of it on The National Elf Library website (http://euroschilds.co.uk/)

The Roseville Band-Temper

Recently saw this Wrexham band playing in a Montreal bar. Temper is their third album released on Canadian label Pipe & Hat…Sounds perfect for a long car drive with upbeat rock’n’roll melodies and retro sixties on some tracks it’s a must listen album…Go and buy it:)

Avec Sans-Hold On

They’re maybe not Welsh but this is definitely one of the single of the summer. Hailing from London, it’s reminiscent of old retro 80s with the omnipresent synthetizer beats. Beautiful vocals if you like Austra, Little Boots and those kind of things…
