Tracks/Albums of the week: September 1st

Here’s our selection for this week’s show.

Chvrches-Leave A Trace

We fell in love with the second track taken from the forthcoming second album Every Open Eye. The Glasgow outfit is coming back with melodic electro pop and some very artistic video.

Foals-What Went Down

The Oxford quintet is back with their fourth album. Experiencing progressive rock sounds, some orchestral arrangements and Arcade Fire-esque guitar riffs, Foals are back in a good way. Produced by James Ford, it’s definitely our record of the week.

Hooton Tennis Club-Highest Point in Cliff Town

Hailing from northern England, those four guys making joyful melodies, getting back to the great old britpop days. If you like Menswear, Supergrass and co, you’ll definitely like this first album from the band, out now on Heavenly Records
