Tracks of the week/August 18th 2015

Here’s some of the great new releases and tracks we will be playing on the show this week

Editors-Life Is A Fear

Brand new track taken from the band’s forthcoming fifth album. Less guitar, more synths, Editors evolving from post-punk guitars to an eighties dark wave sound. Still, it’s a brilliant track and we can’t wait to hear the remaining songs. In Dreams will be out October 2nd on PIAS.

Sundara Karma-Flame

Fans of Peace, Swim Deep and all these pop-grungy outfits, will like the brand new single from Sundara Karma, Flame. With catchy guitars mixed with bits of electronics, we just want to tap our feets to the ground and go on the dancefloor. Groovy melodies, we just can’t wait for a full album from the Reading quartet.

The School-Do I Love You?

If you are more into the retro thing, why not listen to this brand new track from Cardiff’s own The School. First single taken from their forthcoming 3rd album Wasting Away and Wondering, about to be released on September 4th through Elefant Records. With sixties northern soul riffs with some kind of Ronettes vocals, The School offers a refreshing sound for the end of the summer.

LOOM-Bleed On Me

Tarik and Harry Badwan (yeah, the brothers of the well-known Faris from the Horrors) just released an exclusive and very limited 7”, Bleed on Me on Raft Records. The brothers and their friends are transporting us with well-driven raw guitars riffs, noisy drums reminiscing of the early post-punk era.

Stay tuned for more on Tuesday August 18th, 8pm east on
