Tracks of the week/August 11th 2015

wnh3This week on the show we got plenty of great new tracks and bands to make you hear. Here’s some of our best picks!

Baby Strange-California Sun

Brand new single by Glasgow outfit, less punkish as we heard on the previous singles. Now, they went in a completely direction a little bit more shoegaze and 60’s pop. If you like fuzzy guitars and catchy drum beats.

We’re No Heroes-Voodoo

Welsh rockers from Cardiff just released this new single and we are playing it over and over again. With groovy basslines rhythm which is reminiscent of early Foals, we cannot wait to see what’s next after the great Shiver EP, release a while ago. Perfect tune to put on to dance in a good old fashioned party. You can still check our interview with them just here

The Libertines-Gunga Din

Unexpected return from the Pete Doherty-Carl Barat leaded band. Being used to their punk-rock riffs, it’s without surprises that they are offering us this upbeat, inspired by The Clash, pop-reggae tune. Still wondering how Anthems for Doomed Youth will sound like. The album is about to be released on September 4th through Virgin-EMI

More to come soon…

Stay tuned on Tuesday nights to discover our best songs of the week live on
