Osheaga weekend July 29th-July 31st

On July 29th till July 31st, Osheaga Festival will be held again at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. Here’s some of our recommandations to help you schedule your days…

On Friday, no UK bands will be on. But still Montreal’s local Bran Van 3000, Timber Timbre and supergroup Broken Social Scene will play during the night. Finally, Eminem will close as headliner. On July 30th, the day is becoming a little bit more interesting. Locals are very present as the likes of psychedelic rock band High Dials, indie rock’s finest Mother Mother and Tokyo Police Club, and for the first time in Montreal folk indie rock songstress Anna Calvi from London. Also, Saturday is marking the return of Death from Above 1979 in Canada and Elvis Costello will give one of his rare performance in Montreal. Should be amazing!

Then, Sunday will be a busier day for the lovers of UK indie culture. Indeed, it will start with a performance from Selkirk band, Frightened Rabbit with their melodic rock on the ”Scene de la Montagne”. Then we’ll definitely alternate from the ”Scene Verte” to the ”Scene des arbres” to see back to back  Viva Brother, Ellie Goulding, Joy Formidable, White Lies and then electro’s finest Crystal Castles and Mstrkrft. The weekend will end to the sound of the ”not-to-missed” Flaming Lips. They’ll play their entire Soft Bulletin album. For those around, you shouldn’t  miss this event this year!
