New indie music for your ears

Receiving loads and loads of music, I thought of sharing it with all of you dear listeners, readers or whatever!

What’s hot in these days in my IPOD. This new indie music round-up is featuring three amazing band/artist from the UK indie scene as usual:

The Last - Single ArtworkMI MYE-THE LAST (7” single-out March 2nd 2009 on Trash Aesthetics)

Mi Mye is North of Scotland-born Jamie Lockhart a folk sound creator joined by a bunch of people from Leeds/Wakefield area (i.e. Forward Russia, Napoleon III, The Research, just to name a few). The Last 7”  is a great piece of music art with soft , but catchy melodies, strenght guitar riffs, and lyrics that can’t stay off of our minds. You gotta like it for sure!

Robots Disaster-Guitars are overrated
A great piece of electro-clash! This single just want to make ourselves going on the dancefloor. Think Foals, Late of the Pier, trashy beats, etc.  Guitars are overrated is definitely a track to start an indie disco party. It’s completely addictive! Out on Gash Digital May 25th.

Soundstorm-Nothing in Black and White
Nothing in Black and White is the debut album from Cardiff’s  four piece Soundstorm. While listening to the album you can definitely think of the 80s.  Inspired by various post-punk, new wave/new romantic bands (Stranglers, Josef K, Duran Duran, New Order…) , they offered  creative soundscapes, well-worked melodies and strong riffs. One word to describe this album: Powerful!
